Project summary
I decided that working with a Local Authority would give me a great understanding of how things work from a new perspective.
It’s a role that greatly benefits from an understanding of a range of sectors. Wyre Forest kept my interest for 11 years, with a mix of rural and urban towns as my palette and a festival with the potential to grow exponentially.

Freelance Artist Development

Working to support artists to develop their practice and help them with funding bids is something I get a great deal of satisfaction from so I have started to support a number of artists to develop their work.

PAKA The Uncredible: In 2021 I worked with Paka to support the creation of a new show in partnership and with support from Out There and 101 Outdoor Arts. I was able to secure a grant of almost £15,000 from Arts Council England for a research and development phase of work.

I have recently supported Stand Up Comedian and Compere Sarah Slater to write a ‘Develop My Creative Practice’ bid. This is what she said: “Loz’s years of experience in creative arts and understanding of funding means she has a clear vision of requirements and her no-nonsense support is invaluable!”
