Making things happen

Portfolio Highlights

I try and nimbly move across the cultural sector, learning from each experience as I go. I try to resist being trapped in one area of creativity as hard as I can.

People like labels, so, I’ve worked as an artist, maker, performer, Creative Producer, Project Manager, Artistic Director and collaborator. Projects have straddled fashion, film, festivals, theatre, regeneration, education, fundraising, artist development and venues.

I have worked with a diverse group of talented people, which has presented ongoing opportunities for learning and growth.

Below is a small sample of some of my favourite projects.

The Theatre started as an advisory role to local artists who were trying to save it. Two years later, after much lobbying, proposal writing and fundraising I had two new collaborators who were co-directors of a new CIC. In January of 2025 we had the keys in our hands, and the renovation of the fire-damaged, record-breaking theatre was underway. The building is a converted Victorian toilet and holds the record for the smallest commercial theatre in the world. We opened on the 24th of October 2025.
This has been an epic project where all of my transferable skills have come into play, I’ve procured upholstery, made curtains, painted murals, commissioned branding, created marketing material, done TV and press interviews, commissioned bespoke shows and more. I’m now making costumes and creating installations and curating a visual arts, music and theatre programme.

With the beginning and end of WWI to mark in two different towns with four years in between.

Trustee – Can’t Sit Still

I had the pleasure of being Chair of the Trustees for 2 years, standing down in 2022 to make way for my Master’s studies. Find out more about this amazing company that I’m so proud to have supported by clicking the logo.

Freelance Artist Development

I have written successful Arts Council England bids between £25k to £90k every year since 2005, along with numerous sums from Trusts, Foundations and Local Authorities.  Please contact me directly to discuss.
I am motivated to support creative growth and remove self-imposed blocks to success. I work with artists to develop their practice and help with funding bids. I support a limited number of artists as time allows.

PAKA The Uncredible: I worked with Paka to support the creation of a new show in partnership with Out There. I was able to secure a grant of almost £15,000 from Arts Council England for a research and development phase of work, which has now developed into a touring interactive game.
